Hearing Systems

Which Hearing System is right for me?

The first stage needed in order to answer this question for you is to have your hearing tested to quantify the degree of hearing loss that you have. This is essential as we can only work with the amount of hearing that you have remaining for each of the different types of sound.

Similar to a graphic equaliser on a Hi-Fi system, the more areas of adjustment ('channels' and 'bands' in a hearing aid) there are, the more accurately the hearing instruments can be 'tuned' to the Hearing Test results (your Audiogram) and provide you with clearer hearing in more situations.

Also, factors such as whether you attend meetings, listen to music, or are often in groups of people, will be relevant to the type and level of technology that will provide the best results for you. In consideration of your lifestyle requirements, you may benefit from additional devices that can link (wirelessly) from, for example, your television, Hi-Fi or mobile telephone direct to your hearing aids.
